The Sales Associate is responsible for supporting business growth through customer engagement, prospecting, account development, and sales support activities. This role works closely with Account Specialists and Branch Leadership to strengthen customer relationships, identify opportunities, and drive profitable sales growth.
The position is designed as an entry-level sales development role, providing hands-on experience in industrial distribution, customer relationship management, and value-added selling, while preparing employees for future advancement into Account Specialist positions.
Responsibilities:
Sales Growth
Assist in growing existing customer accounts through regular engagement.
Support sales initiatives, promotions, and market development activities.
Identify customer needs and recommend solutions that improve productivity and lower total costs.
Customer Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with customers through regular communication and site visits.
Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve customer concerns.
Support customer retention and account expansion activities.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Account Development
Manage and develop a designated portfolio of small and medium-sized accounts.
Assist Account Specialists with key customer opportunities.
Review customer spending trends and identify opportunities for growth.
Update CRM and sales activity records accurately.
Business Development
Conduct customer visits.
Support branch sales campaigns and strategic growth initiatives.
Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and solution presentations.
Develop knowledge of customer operations and industry applications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales Support, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Fulfillment teams to ensure excellent customer service.
Coordinate product sourcing, pricing requests, and delivery requirements.
Ensure customer commitments are effectively communicated and executed.
Professional Development
Complete all required product and sales training.
Develop expertise in Fastenal products, services, and supply chain solutions.
Build skills necessary for advancement into higher-level sales roles.
Requirements:
Fresh graduateor 1–3 years of working experience in sales, customer service, retail, industrial or distribution possess Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or any other related fields. Prefer on Singaporean applicants.
Previous B2B sales experience will be an advantage.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skill and prefer candidates that willing to learn & develop themselves.
Self-motivated with strong desire to grow in sales career.
Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license (will be an advantage).
