Job Description - Sales Development Executive

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing automated retail franchise business scaling aggressively across Singapore and Southeast Asia. They operate a location-based retail franchise model focused on strategic site acquisition and franchisee success. The company is expanding rapidly and seeking talented business development professionals to drive franchise growth and market expansion.

Job Description

Our client requires a Business Development Executive to lead franchise lead generation, sales, and site acquisition efforts. This is a full-cycle role where you will identify potential franchise partners, present the business model, negotiate terms, and support franchisees through onboarding and launch readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and engage potential franchise partners through cold calling, WhatsApp, email, events, and business partnerships
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of franchise leads with regular tracking and metrics reporting
  • Present the franchise business model, financial projections, and Return on Investment clearly to prospects
  • Handle objections, negotiate franchise agreement terms, and guide prospects through the application, due diligence, and contract signing process
  • Maintain accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records and track conversion metrics
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in lease acquisitions by following up with potential landlords at potential sites
  • Coordinate franchisee onboarding with operations, training, and legal teams
  • Act as the main point of contact for new franchisees before and after contract signing
  • Support franchisees in site selection, launch readiness planning, and early-stage success
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to represent the business and generate leads

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales or business development (preferably in franchise, expansion, or related field)
  • Strong proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and pipeline management
  • Comfortable and confident with cold calling and prospecting activities
  • Demonstrated ability to handle objections, negotiate, and close deals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex business models and financial concepts to diverse audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Organized and disciplined approach to pipeline management and metric tracking
  • Multi-channel communication skills (cold calling, WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn)
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with ability to work independently
  • Flexible approach to working hours (Monday to Saturday, flexible timing based on client needs)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Food & Beverage (F&B) or franchise industry experience
  • Real estate or leasing knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Multi-language capabilities (Mandarin Chinese or Malay)
  • Previous experience in location-based or retail franchise models
