Job Description - Sales Executive - Fire Equipment / Boon Lay

Responsibilities & Expectations:

1)      Highly driven, team player, great communication skills

·       You’re expected to show initiative, persistence, and self-motivation in meeting targets.

·       Collaboration is key—you’ll need to work closely with internal teams (e.g., engineering, operations, sales).

·       Communication must be strong—both written and verbal—for client interaction, technical discussions, and reporting.

2)      Promote products creatively to end users in Jurong Island

·       Creativity in marketing and presentation is essential to stand out in a competitive industrial environment.

·       You may need to conduct product demos, organize lunch-and-learn sessions, or use technical case studies to appeal to decision-makers.

3)      Promote maintenance services (preventive, shutdown, turnaround, contractual)

·       Deep understanding of maintenance service types is crucial.

·       You'll act as a consultative salesperson, identifying opportunities and proposing maintenance solutions that add value to the client.

·       Clients might include plant managers, maintenance engineers, procurement teams—so technical credibility is key.

4)      Troubleshooting at site

·       This means hands-on involvement in solving real-time equipment or system issues.

·       Technical knowledge and quick thinking are essential.

5)      Liaising with vendors/principals on enquiries and technical issues

·       You’ll be the bridge between customers and suppliers.

·       Strong negotiation, coordination, and technical interpretation skills are needed to manage expectations and ensure smooth communication.

6)      Ad hoc duties in a dynamic environment (opportunity to upskill)

·       Flexibility is crucial—you’ll be exposed to various tasks outside your immediate role.

Examples: assisting in tenders, attending industry events, preparing reports, learning new products.

·       View this as a career growth opportunity rather than a burden.

Key Skills & Attributes:

1)       Sales mindset with technical knowledge

2)       Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

3)       Problem-solving under pressure

4)       Adaptability and eagerness to learn

5)       Knowledge of industrial plant operations and safety protocols (especially on Jurong Island) will have added advantage

Pre-requisites

1)      Minimum Diploma (regardless of discipline of academic learning)

2)      Possess a Class 3 license

3)      Need to climb very high during site visit.

4) Must be comfortable to travel to places like Jurong Island and industrial plants
