Job Description - Sales Executive/Engineer

Xmicro Solution was founded in 2004 we are Evident Scientific (Olympus) sole distributor for their life science and material science microscopes in Singapore. Join us a team dedicated to technological excellence and impactful results.

REPORTS TO : Director of Life Sciences

RESPONSIBLE FOR : Sales and Marketing of Microscope System

Education / Skills / Knowledge (Competence Needed):

Bachelor/Diploma in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical, or Engineering with related experience.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience with tenders (e.g.Ariba, GeBIZ, hospital procurement).
  • Proven B2B sales experience in laboratory equipment, medical devices, or scientific instruments
  • Experience with clinical microscopy applications

KEY ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & AUTHORITIES

Sales & Business Development

·      Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets for microscopes and related products.

·      Identify and pursue new business opportunities in life science, clinical and educational sectors.

·      Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and hands-on trials for customers (e.g., compound microscopes, stereo microscopes, digital imaging systems, fluorescence microscopes).

·      Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and after-sales follow-up.

·      Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with researchers, lab managers, technicians, procurement teams, educators, and distributors.
  • Provide consultative selling by understanding customer workflows and recommending suitable microscope configurations.
  • Respond to product inquiries and provide first-line technical support before escalating to engineering/service teams.
  • Visit customer sites regularly for meetings, product demos, and training sessions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product positioning.
  • Participate in product launches, seminars, roadshows, tradeshows, and workshops.
  • Ability to conduct effective product demonstrations and explain technical features clearly.
