Sales Manager (Junior)

The role of Junior Sales Manager is to manage and grow sales of Smiths Detection products and solutions in allocated markets including Singapore, Brunei and selected Key Accounts across Asia. The Junior Sales Manager will support the Head of Sales for Singapore in generating and delivering all sales opportunities whilst taking accountability for achieving order intake growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Meeting and exceeding Bookings, Revenue and Profit targets for the allocated market
• Manage time & material, after-market, run-rate, spares/consumables, and program sales opportunities
• Drive and develop existing and new business
• Use the required business tools and programs to manage, maintain and report weekly on Sales Pipeline
• Own the Smiths relationship with customers and be responsive to enquiries
• Manage the sales process from initiation, development, through to order and delivery of goods
• Interact, engage and work with other key business functions including Programs, Service, Finance and Legal
• Use SAP to manage quotations, pipeline management, ordering and financial management
• Attend and contribute to Meetings for Weekly Operations, Revenue and Bookings, Pipeline Development and Critical Sales Opportunity Development
• Other activities as required

• Ability to act with minimum supervision and balance multiple time critical tasks simultaneously
• High level of customer focus and responsiveness to queries and quotation requests
• Fast learner & ability to understand & sell technical products
• Interest in Security and Technology
• Confident in speaking & communicating to customers throughout the sales process
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to travel as required

Desirable experience:

• Track record of success in sales and business development
• Experience in selling to government agencies and large infrastructure type projects, responding to, and managing tenders
• Experience in selling into Smiths key markets (Aviation, Customs)
