Sales Manager (Steel Fabrication)

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager with a background in steel fabrication and mechanical engineering to drive business development and support customers with technical solutions. This role involves managing the full sales cycle, building client relationships, and identifying new opportunities within the steel fabrication and precision engineering industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the steel fabrication, sheet metal, and precision engineering sectors.

• Conduct site visits to understand customer requirements, perform site measurements, and prepare sketches for fabrication or reverse engineering purposes.

• Provide technical advice and recommend suitable fabrication solutions based on customer requirements and mechanical engineering knowledge.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication throughout the sales process.

• Manage the sales cycle from lead generation and quotation through project coordination and successful handover.

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects are delivered smoothly.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication, steel fabrication, or a related mechanical engineering industry.

• Strong knowledge of stainless steel fabrication is essential.

• Basic understanding of mechanical design and fabrication processes.

• Experience in site measurement and preparation of fabrication sketches.

• ITC/NiTEC, Diploma, or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.

• Experience in high-tech manufacturing or cleanroom industries (e.g., Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical) will be an advantage.
