Senior Merchandising Planning Executive

The Merchandising Planning Demand Department plays the key role in the overall Product Planning process for Uniqlo Singapore in line with our LIFEWEAR philosophy to provide the best of what UNIQLO can offer to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising Planning

• Establish a buying and pricing strategy for current and future seasons, identify growth opportunities and follow through from seasonal planning until sell out.
• Committed to achieve sales targets proactively and ensure strong business results.
• Issue Purchase Orders and monitor production and delivery schedules from factory to the local warehouse according to the sales plan. Frequent engagement to ensures schedules are on time is required

Stakeholder Management

• Establish strong relationships and communication, stretching from store to management, production countries to global headquarters
• Collaborate with other departments (Store Operations, Marketing, Instore merchandising, Inventory control) to prepare the sales floor layout according to business strategy and sales plan
• Perform market research and collect the voice of customers to understand local customer demand and propose necessary product mix to global headquarters

Key Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience (merchandising, buying) within Apparel/fashion space
• Passion for Apparel; up to date with the latest trends in Singapore
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, with high analytical skills
• Ability to communicate with key stakeholders and influence at all levels of seniority
• Critical thinking skills (data driven) and committed to providing solutions
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude; able to meet deadlines with self initiative
• Excel-related certification is a plus
