The Wine Salesperson will be responsible for promoting and selling a curated selection of wines to customers, ensuring an exceptional buying experience. This role requires strong product knowledge, persuasive communication, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while meeting sales targets.
Customer Engagement: Welcome and assist customers, providing recommendations based on taste preferences, occasion, and budget.
Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of wine varieties, regions, vintages, and food pairings.
Sales Achievement: Drive sales through upselling, cross-selling, and meeting monthly targets.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, assist in restocking, and ensure proper wine storage conditions.
Tasting Events: Organize and host wine tastings to educate and engage customers.
Relationship Building: Develop rapport with regular clients and foster loyalty through personalized service.
Reporting: Prepare sales reports and provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends.
Prior experience in Retail Sales, preferably in wine, beverages, or luxury goods.
Strong knowledge of Wine Varieties, regions, and tasting notes (formal wine education is a plus).
Excellent Communication Skills and customer service abilities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Passion for wine and eagerness to share knowledge with customers.
Strong Sales Techniques and negotiation skills.
High level of Interpersonal Skills to connect with diverse clientele.
Organizational skills for managing inventory and events.
Confidence in conducting wine tastings and presentations.
