We are a leading distributor in the fast-paced wholesale beverage sector. We supply a diverse portfolio of products—ranging from premium liquors, craft beers and popular beverages—to retail, hospitality, and corporate clients. To support our expanding supplier network and inventory demands, we are seeking an analytical and driven Assistant Procurement Manager.
Working directly alongside the Procurement Manager, you will be the engine that keeps our inventory moving. You will take a hands-on role in managing purchase orders, tracking supplier performance, monitoring stock levels, and analyzing market trends. This role requires a blend of sharp analytical skills to manage data and strong communication skills to negotiate with local and global suppliers.
Purchase Order (PO) Management: Generate, issue, and track purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring accurate pricing and quantities.
Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor stock levels daily to prevent both stockouts and over-stocking of high-volume beverages; coordinate with the warehouse team on inbound shipments.
Supplier Relations & Logistics: Liaise with beverage manufacturers and logistics providers to track transit times, resolve delivery delays, and address invoice discrepancies.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales trends and historical data to help forecast future purchasing needs; maintain up-to-date costing files (including freight and duties).
Negotiation Support: Assist the Procurement Manager in preparing for vendor meetings, compiling supplier performance scorecards, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination. Experience in FMCG, food and beverage (F&B), or logistics is highly preferred.
Analytical Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) is essential for handling large product catalogs and pricing tiers.
Systems Knowledge: Experience utilizing ERP or inventory management systems.
Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a baseline understanding of purchasing terms and negotiation tactics.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple SKU categories simultaneously without losing accuracy.
