Purchasing & Shipping Executive (FMCG)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing & Shipping Executive to support our FMCG operations. The role involves managing procurement, coordinating shipments, and driving demand forecasting and planning to ensure optimal inventory levels and smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and order placement with suppliers
• Handle shipping coordination, including import/export documentation, freight arrangements, and delivery schedules
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales inputs
• Perform demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stock-outs or overstock situations
• Collaborate closely with sales and warehouse teams to align supply with business needs
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
• Track shipments and resolve any logistics or supply issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, shipping, or supply chain
• Proven experience in demand forecasting and planning, preferably in FMCG products
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with inventory management and forecasting tools/systems
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Preferred:

• Experience in FMCG distribution or wholesale environment
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and shipping processes
