Scope and General Purpose
The Refinery Crude Procurement Coordinator is responsible for directing and coordinating refinery crude procurement and associated responsibilities. The primary function is organizing, optimizing and procuring crude from Middle East, America, Far East and West Africa etc. according to crude demand and requirement from refinery, finding the most economic and suitable resources.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct, coordinate and supervise CNOOC’s refinery crude procurement, including communicating with CNOOC’s refinery on crude demand, calculating refining margins, finding suitable crude grades, providing crude offer list and execuating final crude procurement.
- Optimize procurement process of crude oil to meet refinery requirements. Search and procure most economic and suitable crude resources optimize logistics and help refinery to reduce the cost and make profit.
- Prepare procurement suggestions, assess new crude quality, compare different crude economy, recommend resource with high-economy, optimize logistics with shipping team.
- Based on refinery demand, find opportunities and provide ideas to create high-quality trading opportunities, obtaing more valuable primary crude resources and making profit.
- Other work assigned by company.
Job Profile Requirements:
- Master Degree from a reputable University in Chemistry, Engineering or Managing,ect.
- At least 2 years working experience in oil industry as a must. Working experience in refinery preferred. Working experience in Fortune 500 companies is preferred.
- Adequate knowledge of processing units, logistics and operation process. Must be familiar with different crude trading zones, including but not limited to Middle East, America, Far East and West Africa etc.
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in both English and Mandarin as the role requires effective communication with counterparties and China HQ.
- Excellent computer skills in big data analysis, model construction, PPT and Word processing, Excel and supporting financial software as a must.
- Ability to handle multiple projects including procurement business, daily analysis, daily administrative issues, solving operational issues, etc.
