Warehouse Operation Assistant Manager Cum Driver

Our business is looking for a talented and qualified logistics manager to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and logistics employees. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems.

Logistics Manager Responsibilities:

• Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates.
• Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
• Supervising logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
• Organizing warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments.
• Responding to any issues or complaints.
• Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
• Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
• Evaluating budgets and expenditures.
• Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
• Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.

A leading frozen food distributor has a job opening for a Warehouse Manager (Coldroom).

Brief description

The position of a Warehouse Manager consist of managing, monitoring and ensuring continuous improvement in the core functions of the warehouse with high standard.

Responsible to manage all stocks movement & storage within the warehouse with proper recordkeeping/ documentation.

Liaise with company inter-departments to carry out smooth distribution operations according to work procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Supervise, coordinate and manage all day-to-day warehouse operation & activities.

· Manage and control warehouse inventory strictly and efficiently, making sure inventories are accurate;

· Supervise organizing, arranging and rearranging of items in an orderly fashion in a warehouse to achieve optimized usage of warehouse space.

· Able to use mechanical handling equipment efficiently, manage the usage and training of all equipment and cold room

· Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these;

· Produce regular reports and statistics of operation on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;

· Ensure good quality of services to Customers;

· Plan & coordinate well with other inter-department Heads;

· Strong leadership and be able to motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded;

· Organize the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress;

· Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensure to a safe work place with high standard of expectations;

· Ensure Company freezers, machineries, tools and equipment are in working good condition & well maintained.

· Implement and monitor safety procedures in warehouse operations. Ensure staffs carrying out their daily work duties accordingly.

· Ensure cleanliness of warehouse premises.

· Implement cost-efficiency processes and reduce costs in warehouse operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

· At least a diploma or 5 years work experienced in similar position.

· Has good knowledge & experienced in driving/ operate a Reach trucks will be an advantage.

· Must be able to work in a Cold Storage environment.

· Physically fit & strong with a good body build to carry out the works.

· Experienced in managing Cold-room Warehouses and able to use ERP, WMS & Microsoft Navision system.

· Must have strong leadership quality: to monitor, lead & train a team to carry out their daily work duties accordingly.

· A positive mindset to continuously strive & achieve high performance standard for the Warehouse.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, Science or relevant field.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
• Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Must have Singapore Class 3 driving license willing to do on PH and midnight shift
