AI Product Engineer

Introduction

Ask & Embla and Ambi are two fast-growing alternative jewelry brands, and we're looking for an AI Product Engineer. You'll design and ship intelligent internal products that automate business processes and operations across both brands. What You'll Do

• Build and ship AI-powered internal tools that automate workflows and eliminate manual processes across the business

• Own the full product cycle — from scoping and design to development, deployment, and iteration
• Identify inefficiencies across business functions and engineer solutions that actually stick
• Integrate AI capabilities (via Claude and other models) into tools that non-technical teammates can use confidently
• Manage multiple builds simultaneously, keeping priorities and timelines clear
• Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code
• Stay close to what's emerging in AI product development and bring a point of view on what we should be building next
• Partner with teams across the organization to understand how they work, spot inefficiencies, and build tools that solve real problems
• Act as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, turning messy manual processes into clean, AI-powered workflows

Who You Are

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping production-grade applications
• Strong in Python; comfortable working with AI APIs including Claude to build and deploy intelligent workflows
• Experience building with AI APIs, particularly Claude; you understand how to design around model capabilities and limitations
• Naturally spots inefficiencies and has the engineering instinct to fix them properly — self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and sharp at managing your own projects without hand-holding
• Able to work cross-functionally with non-technical teammates and translate what you build into plain language
• Committed to excellence in how you build: clean, documented, maintainable systems over quick fixes
• Genuinely curious about our brands — the best people we hire always take the time to understand who our customer is
• Have hands-on experience within Lark Suite — Lark Base, Lark Docs, and workflow automation, preferred
• Work within a DTC or ecommerce environment, preferred
• Navigate and build within the Shopify ecosystem, preferred
