Application Support and Data Analyst (SAP BI)

📌 Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application & Database Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications and databases. This role combines application support, database management, and data modeling, with a strong focus on ensuring system reliability, performance, and data accuracy.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔧 Application & System Support

• Provide day-to-day support for business applications, including troubleshooting system issues, resolving bugs, and supporting end users

• Manage and maintain application performance, availability, and reliability

• Support application patches, upgrades, and releases

🗄️ Database Management (MS SQL)

• Develop, maintain, and optimize MS SQL databases, queries, and stored procedures

• Monitor database performance and implement tuning to improve efficiency

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across systems

📊 Data Modeling & Reporting

• Translate business requirements into structured data models and system specifications

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models

• Build and enhance database frameworks to support reporting and data extraction

🔄 System Enhancements & Projects

• Support system enhancements, integrations, and database migrations

• Participate in testing (system, integration, and user acceptance testing) to ensure quality releases

🔐 Governance, Security & Compliance

• Manage user access control for applications and databases

• Support IT audits, compliance activities, and documentation

• Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and best practices

• Contribute to Business Continuity Planning (BCP), including backup and recovery processes

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application support and/or database roles

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (querying, scripting, performance tuning)

• Solid understanding of:

  • Database design and data modeling - SAP BI

  • Query optimization and performance tuning

• Proven experience in troubleshooting application and database issues
