Position: Assistant Manager for IT Ops
Responsibilities:
- Manage IT functions, including hardware maintenance, software upgrades, data migration, and system installation.
- Provide support for printers, monitors, desktop PCs, laptops, and smartphone devices.
- Plan and execute selection, installation, configuration, testing, and support of IT hardware, including AV infrastructure.
- Regularly manage, maintain, and back up IT network and desktop systems.
- Conduct regular server upgrades and security patching.
- Investigate, research, and resolve user questions and information systems problems.
- Provide technical support for major company projects.
- Engage in implementation discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain IT equipment inventory and documentation in compliance with IT policies.
- Handle hardware and software licensing and compliance.
- Write or update technical documentation and incident reports.
- Support IT help desk operations.
- Engage with vendors for troubleshooting.
- Monitor and act on daily alerts.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the IT industry, with proven work experience as a technical support engineer and progressive experience in IT support team supervision.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365 suite, Networking, and Unified communications/collaboration.
- Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, Routers, and Network Switches.
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft 365 Administrator, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, ITIL v4 Foundation.
- Hands-on experience in software and hardware troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders and staff.
- Willingness to support company events after office hours if needed.
