Business Analyst, Cash Management & Transaction Banking (for banking industry)

Responsibilities:

• Support the modernization of the Cash Management and Transaction Banking platform into a scalable, next-generation solution.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and functional specifications.
• Conduct current-state and target-state process assessments to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Drive business process optimization to streamline cross-border banking and transaction management operations.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with business users, IT teams, vendors, and regional stakeholders.
• Perform gap analysis and support solution design to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
• Support project governance activities, including status reporting, milestone tracking, and documentation management.
• Monitor project progress and assist in tracking dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Identify, assess, and track project risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate issue resolution and ensure timely escalation of critical concerns.
• Manage stakeholder communications and maintain alignment across business, technology, and vendor teams.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, defect management, and business sign-off activities.
• Assist with change management and implementation activities to facilitate successful adoption of new processes and systems.
• Ensure successful project delivery within agreed timelines, scope, and quality expectations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, PMO Analyst, or Consultant in banking, financial services, or technology transformation projects.
• Strong business English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 5+ years of experience supporting banking or financial services projects, preferably in Business Analysis, PMO, or consulting roles.
• Proven experience in large-scale system implementation, transformation, migration, or platform modernization programs.
• Strong knowledge of Payments, Cash Management, Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking, or related banking domains.
• Experience working with business users, IT teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders across regional or multi-country environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills, with experience conducting workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, including preparation of business requirements, reports, presentations, and governance materials using PowerPoint and Excel.
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment with strong ownership and accountability.
• Experience with Cash Management Systems (CMS), Transaction Banking transformation programs, payment modernization initiatives, or ISO 20022 migration projects will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with account reporting, liquidity management solutions, cloud-based banking architecture, API integrations, middleware platforms, system migration, and data conversion projects is preferred.
• Experience supporting PMO functions, governance committees, steering committees, vendors, and system integrators in large-scale transformation programs is highly desirable.
• Experience working in Japanese corporate environments and supporting regional APAC banking projects is preferred.
• Exposure to both business and technology workstreams, with the ability to quickly understand organizational structures and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
