Business Analyst Lead (Corporate & Investment Banking)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Lead to support strategic initiatives within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). The successful candidate will possess deep domain expertise across Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Lending, Markets, and Financial Markets products, with the ability to drive business and operational transformation initiatives across the end-to-end product lifecycle.

This role requires a highly independent and self-driven individual who can engage stakeholders across front, middle, and back-office functions, identify root causes of business issues, and drive the implementation of operational frameworks and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across Corporate & Investment Banking initiatives.
• Engage stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end CIB product lifecycles, from client onboarding and prospecting through trade execution, settlement, servicing, billing, and reporting.
• Analyse complex business problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions to improve operational effectiveness.
• Drive business process improvements, governance frameworks, operating models, and control enhancements.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement gathering sessions across multiple business functions.
• Produce high-quality business requirements documents, process maps, gap analyses, impact assessments, and functional specifications.
• Support change management activities and ensure successful implementation of business initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and delivery outcomes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on CIB business processes and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of Business Analysis experience within Corporate & Investment Banking.
• Strong domain expertise across:Transaction BankingTrade FinanceLendingMarkets / Financial MarketsCash ManagementCorporate Banking Operations
• Proven experience working across front-to-back office functions.
• Strong understanding of the complete CIB product lifecycle, including:Client onboarding and prospectingProduct setupTrade executionOperations processingSettlement and servicingBilling and revenue management
• Experience working with CIB platforms and processes, including Client Due Diligence (CDD), KYC, onboarding, and related operational workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience engaging senior business stakeholders.
• Experience leading operational transformation, process improvement, governance, and framework implementation initiatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced banking environment.
