Business Analyst (Modern ERP / Azure DevOps / BPMN)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a Modern ERP transformation programme. This role combines Delivery Management support with Business Process Modelling, requiring strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and BPMN process modelling.

The successful candidate will support project delivery by maintaining Azure DevOps work items, dashboards, and reporting while also documenting and modelling business processes using BPMN standards. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, process owners, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful programme execution.

This is a 1-year contract position.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Management Support (50%)

• Maintain Azure DevOps (ADO) work items and ensure compliance with project governance and standards.
• Create, maintain, and enhance Azure DevOps dashboards for project delivery reporting.
• Develop reusable Azure DevOps query templates for project teams.
• Generate project reports and provide ad-hoc support to the Delivery Manager.
• Monitor project progress and maintain delivery documentation.

Business Process Analysis & Modelling (50%)

• Gather business requirements and process knowledge from stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors.
• Analyse existing business processes and identify process improvements.
• Develop and maintain business process models using BPMN standards.
• Validate process flows, decision points, roles, responsibilities, and handoffs with business process owners.
• Support programme milestones through business analysis and coordination activities.
• Perform data cleansing, reconciliation, and analysis using Power Query, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare process documentation, business analysis reports, meeting materials, and supporting project documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role supporting enterprise transformation projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including work item management, dashboards, queries, and reporting.
• Good understanding of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and business process documentation.
• Experience using Power Query, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, or similar tools for data analysis and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business requirements.
• Experience gathering requirements and facilitating discussions with business stakeholders and vendors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting ERP or digital transformation programmes will be an advantage.
• Experience working with SAP implementation projects is advantageous.
