Job Summary
Join MariApps as a Business Development Manager to drive growth by identifying new markets and clients, managing sales cycles, and strengthening brand presence through strategic business development and stakeholder engagement. This full-time role requires regional and international travel.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
Build and sustain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities for informed decision-making.
Prepare and deliver persuasive business presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to secure new clients.
Collaborate with internal teams to tailor software solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
Manage the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to meet sales targets and business goals.
Partner with marketing teams to support lead generation campaigns, exhibitions, and networking events.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development updates for management review.
Negotiate commercial terms and contracts to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability.
Monitor customer feedback and coordinate with project delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and maintain long-term client relationships.
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM systems.
Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with strategic vendors, technology partners, and industry stakeholders.
Represent MariApps at client meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote products and services.
Continuously seek opportunities for business growth and recommend strategies to enhance market presence and customer engagement.
Required competencies and certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is mandatory.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
MBA or master’s degree in business management is advantageous.
Minimum 15 years of total work experience, including at least 7 years in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management roles.
Experience with ERP, Enterprise Software, SaaS, or Digital Transformation solutions is preferred.
Experience in Shipping, Maritime, Logistics, or Marine industries is an added advantage.
Other Information
This is a full-time position based in Singapore requiring regional and international travel.
