Data Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design and lead the implementation of scalable data architecture and data platform solutions to support complex business needs in the airline industry. 
• Define and translate business requirements into data architecture, data models, and system design, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
• Support presales activities by working with sales and consulting teams to design end-to-end data platform solutions for prospective clients. 
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and technical discussions to understand data challenges and propose architecture solutions. 

• Design modern data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data pipelines using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 
• Define data integration strategies across multiple systems (e.g., operational systems, customer platforms, third-party sources). 
• Establish data governance, data quality, and data security frameworks to ensure reliable and compliant data management. 

• Contribute to solution design, technical proposals, and architecture blueprints, helping secure project 

approval and accelerate contract signing. 

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure successful implementation and scalability of the data platform. 
• Communicate complex architecture concepts in a clear and business-friendly manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in data architecture, cloud data platforms, and big data technologies. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or large-scale data platform design. 
• Strong expertise in data architecture design, including data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data platforms. 
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and related data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse). 
• Strong knowledge of data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) and data integration patterns (ETL/ELT, streaming, APIs). 
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions, from data ingestion to storage,transformation, and consumption.
• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices. 
• Strong communication in English and presentation skills, with the ability to explain architecture concepts to business stakeholders and clients. 

• Experience supporting client-facing engagements, presales activities, or solution architecture consulting is highly preferred. 
• Experience in the airline, aviation, or travel industry is a strong advantage, particularly in handling operational, customer, or transactional data. 
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, consulting, engineering, and business stakeholders.
