Data Backend Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and backend infrastructure that support data processing, analytics, and business applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud platforms, data engineering, automation, and platform operations, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

·      Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend infrastructure in cloud environments.

·      Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows to support business and analytics needs.

·      Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to streamline deployment and operational processes.

·      Manage containerized applications and services using Docker and Kubernetes.

·      Monitor platform and data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure system reliability.

·      Implement security best practices, data governance standards, and compliance requirements.

·      Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver efficient and scalable data solutions.

·      Maintain technical documentation and provide operational support for data and platform services.

Required Skills and Experience

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

·      2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure-related roles.

·      Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

·      Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

·      Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

·      Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

·      Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

·      Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

·      Knowledge of data warehousing, big data technologies, and distributed data processing frameworks.

·      Understanding of networking, cloud architecture, and security best practices.

·      Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

·      Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
