About the Role
We are looking for an Asset Technician to support the daily asset management operations of a large-scale Internet Data Centre (IDC). The successful candidate will be responsible for asset registration, inventory control, warehouse operations and ensuring accurate asset records throughout the asset lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Support 5×8 operational duties and provide after-hours support when required.
• Register, label and track IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Perform asset receiving, storage, issuance, transfer and decommissioning.
• Manage warehouse access and asset entry/exit registration according to SOPs.
• Execute work orders and respond to requests in accordance with SLA requirements.
• Maintain accurate asset records, inventory logs and documentation.
• Conduct regular physical inventory and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Operate asset management systems and related software.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security requirements and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse and asset management processes.
Requirements
• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics or related disciplines.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience with asset management, warehouse operations or inventory control will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and asset management systems.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
