UL Solutions is seeking a detail‑oriented and operationally focused Data Privacy Analyst to support the execution of the company’s global privacy program. This role plays a key part in delivering core privacy processes, ensuring consistent, high‑quality execution of privacy operations in alignment with applicable laws and company policies.
The Data Privacy Analyst will be a member of UL Solutions’ Legal Department and will partner closely with the Data Privacy Team and cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g., Legal, HR, Global Technology, and Cybersecurity) to support day‑to‑day privacy activities and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Privacy Operations & Execution
Execute and manage data subject rights (DSR) processes, including intake, validation, coordination, response tracking, and reporting.
Coordinate and support privacy assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and other privacy reviews, including documentation and follow‑up actions.
Maintain and update records of processing activities (RoPA), data inventories, and related documentation.
Support vendor onboarding privacy reviews and third‑party due diligence processes.
Support privacy tools and workflows, including data entry, tracking, reporting, and metrics management.
Track and report on operational privacy metrics and KPIs to support continuous improvement.
Administer privacy monitoring, compliance checks, and remediation activities.
Privacy Advisory & Program Support
Support the implementation and day‑to‑day operation of UL Solutions’ global privacy program, policies, and standards.
Coordinate with regional privacy leads (EMEA, China, US) to support consistent global execution and alignment of privacy processes.
Coordinate with business and functional teams to support privacy requirements and remediation actions.
Research and monitor evolving privacy laws and regulatory developments and support internal awareness and implementation.
Assist in privacy incident documentation and response coordination.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in law, information management, or a related field.
Approximately 3–4 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or related roles.
Experience supporting privacy programs in a global or multi‑regional organization.
Strong understanding of data protection laws and practices (e.g., GDPR and APAC privacy frameworks).
Hands‑on experience with DSR handling, privacy assessments (PIAs/DPIAs), data mapping, vendor reviews, and data inventory/RoPA maintenance.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, global environment.
Preferred
Experience with privacy management tools (e.g., TrustArc, OneTrust or similar platforms).
Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM).
