Database Administrator (Oracle or PostgreSQL)

Job Summary

The DBA will be responsible for theon-going installation, maintenance, failure avoidance, detection and repair ofSQL Server databases and servers. Is expected to use DBA skills to secureproduction database uptime and availability, including on-going spacemaintenance, DB tuning, DB monitoring, backup and recovery, configuration andpatch maintenance.

Job Requirement:

Oracle Server DBA

• Experience in engineering and operations of Oracle Multitenant DBs (19c)
• Experience with Data Modelling tools
• Previous experience with Oracle 19c ASM and Data Guard Disaster Recovery
• Experience with UNIX and Linux Administration and scripting
• Installation, Configuration and Performance Tuning
• Expertise in backup/recovery and failover methods with Data Guard and best practices.
• Experience with Oracle RAC database, clustered environment set-up, Data Guard, Advanced Security features, Audit Vault, Database Vault, Partitioning, Replication, Flashback, Network configurations and Storage Configurations.
• Experience with Golden Gate

PostgreSQL Server DBA

• Experience in engineering and operations of PostgreSQL DBs
• Experience with Data Modelling tools
• Experience with UNIX and Linux Administration and scripting
• Installation, Configuration and Performance Tuning
• Expertise in backup/recovery and failover methods and best practices
• Experience with ESX virtual machines and Kubernetes

Additional Preferred SkillRequirements:

• Knowledge of the Enterprise Architecture standards
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Knowledge of other standard databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Microsoft SQL
• Knowledge of Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance
• Knowledge of Ansible
• Knowledge of GitLab
• Knowledge of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle methodology
• Familiarity with the complexities of working with the data centres- self-starting/self-driven; requires minimal guidance
