We are seeking a highly driven and hands-on Digital Transformation Lead to spearhead the company’s end-to-end digital transformation initiatives across both operations and corporate functions.
This role will lead the development and execution of digitalisation strategies aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing manual processes, enhancing reporting visibility, and driving data-driven decision-making across project operations, warehouse management, procurement, finance, HR, and administration.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders to redesign workflows, implement practical digital solutions, drive change management initiatives, and support the company’s long-term AI and automation roadmap.
This role is both strategic and execution-focused, requiring the ability to translate business challenges into practical and scalable operational solutions within a project-based construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s digital transformation roadmap across operational and corporate functions
Identify inefficiencies in project workflows and back-office processes, and implement practical digital solutions to improve productivity and visibility
Lead the implementation and optimisation of systems such as:Project management and document control systemsProcurement and approval workflow systemsFinance and reporting dashboardsHR and administrative systems
Redesign, streamline, and standardise workflows across projects and departments
Build dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility on project and business performance
Work closely with Project Managers, Finance, HR, Admin, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to drive adoption of digital tools and process improvements
Manage external vendors, system providers, consultants, and implementation partners
Drive AI and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and decision-making capabilities
Identify and lead projects supported by government grants (e.g. IMDA, PSG, EDG), including proposal development, implementation coordination, and compliance documentation
Conduct user training and provide hands-on operational support to ensure successful system adoption and change management
Monitor project progress, implementation timelines, system performance, and user feedback for continuous improvement
Support management in developing long-term digitalisation and innovation strategies aligned with business growth objectives
Team Structure
Reports directly to the Chairman & Managing Director
Leads a small internal transformation and support team to drive digitalisation initiatives across the organisation
Works closely with department heads, project teams, and external implementation partners across both operational and corporate functions
Responsible for coordinating cross-functional transformation projects and driving organisation-wide adoption of digital solutions
Acts as a key liaison between management, operational teams, and technology partners to ensure successful implementation and alignment of digital initiatives
Expected to progressively strengthen, scale, and mature the company’s digital transformation capabilities over time
Supports the development of a digital-first culture by promoting process improvement, innovation, and continuous learning across departments
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant working experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or project-based environments
Proven experience in managing end-to-end digital transformation initiatives and driving organisational change management
Strong understanding of:Operational and project workflowsBack-office functions, including finance, procurement, HR, and administrative processes
Familiarity with:Project management and document control platforms (e.g. Procore, Aconex)Data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)Workflow automation platforms and digital business systems
Strong stakeholder management, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Hands-on, practical, and execution-oriented, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Experience in government grant-supported digitalisation initiatives (e.g. IMDA, PSG, EDG) will be an added advantage
Prior experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or related industries will be advantageous
Ability to work independently while managing multiple transformation projects and stakeholders concurrently
