Enterprise Application Support Engineer – 12 Months Contract

Role Overview

We are looking for an Enterprise Application Support Engineer to support mission-critical enterprise applications and production environments. The role involves incident management, production monitoring, SQL analysis, automation scripting, and operational support across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting capabilities and experience supporting high-availability applications in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2 production and application support for enterprise systems
• Monitor application performance and batch processing activities
• Investigate and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines
• Perform SQL query analysis, data validation, and troubleshooting
• Support UNIX/Linux based application environments
• Coordinate with infrastructure, database, and development teams during issue resolution
• Execute deployment validation and operational readiness activities
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for operational automation
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem management activities
• Support on-call and production support activities where required

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux environments
• Experience in Oracle SQL and database support
• Knowledge of Shell Scripting
• Experience in production/application support environments
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools such as Splunk, Grafana, ServiceNow, Jira, Netcool
• Understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
• Experience supporting enterprise applications and production systems

Preferred Experience

• Banking, financial services, or telecom domain experience
• Experience supporting high-availability enterprise applications
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and operational support models
