Haier Group is a global leader in IoT ecosystem solutions, with Haier Smart Home (6690.HK / 600690.SH) ranked as the world's #1 major appliance brand. As the Group's global strategy deepens, the overseas expatriate workforce has grown significantly across Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. Existing expatriate management relies on fragmented manual processes and disconnected systems, unable to meet the demands of cross-border compliance, payroll processing, visa management, and integrated expatriate lifecycle management.
To address this, the Group's Overseas HR Shared Services Centre is building an in-house Expatriate Management System (EMS) and is recruiting a Technical Architect based in Singapore to lead the overall system architecture, full-stack development, and operations management.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the end-to-end technical architecture design of the Expatriate Management System (EMS); define technology stack, system layering, data models, and API specifications to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
· Own full-stack development, including front-end (React / Vue), back-end (Node.js / Java /Python), and database (PostgreSQL / MySQL) design and implementation; complete coding and unit testing of core modules.
· Design and implement integration solutions between EMS and external systems, including HRIS (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors), Payroll systems, travel management platforms, and government visa/immigration APIs.
· Design functional solutions for the EMS aligned with key business processes (expatriate application, contract management, visa tracking, payroll settlement, tax compliance, repatriation, etc.); produce comprehensive functional specifications and prototype designs.
· Establish and enforce system security strategies, including data encryption, role-based access control (RBAC), audit logging, and cross-border data compliance (GDPR, PDPA, etc.).
· Lead project management for system go-live and iterative releases; define milestone plans, coordinate development, testing, and business teams, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
· Manage production environment operations, including CI/CD pipeline setup, containerized redeployment (Docker / Kubernetes), monitoring and alerting, and incident response.
· Collaborate closely with business teams (HR, Legal, Finance) and IT infrastructure teams to continuously gather requirements and drive system feature iterations.
· Produce system architecture documentation, development standards, deployment guides, and operations manuals; build and maintain team knowledge repositories.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
· 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with at least 2 years in a Technical Architect or Senior Developer role.
· Proficient Infront-end technology stacks (React or Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (Node.js/ Spring Boot / Django); capable of independently delivering full-stack modules.
· Solid database design skills; proficient in relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and caching (Redis); familiar with data modelling and query optimization.
· Familiar with microservices architecture, RESTful / GraphQL API design, and third-party system integration; prior experience integrating with Workday, SAP SF, or government APIs is preferred.
· Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies; proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment/operations on major cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
· Understanding of data security and compliance requirements (GDPR, PDPA, etc.); ability to embed security controls at the architecture level.
· Prior experience developing HR information systems (HRIS / ERP) or expatriate management systems is strongly preferred.
· Familiar with Agile/Scrum development; project management capability to independently drive mid-to-large-scale system delivery.
· Excellent business requirements comprehension and cross-functional communication skills; able to translate complex business logic into clear technical solutions.
· Fluent in both Chinese and English (written and spoken); able to work independently in a bilingual environment.
