Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: One-North (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance responsive web applications and user interfaces using React and modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive and user-centric digital experiences.
• Implement new features, improve application performance, and optimise frontend code for scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects, conduct root cause analysis, and support production issues related to frontend applications.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, security remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality software delivery.
• Contribute to application modernisation efforts, including migration of legacy web applications to modern frontend frameworks.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in frontend or full stack web application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with Java and Spring Framework environments to support frontend-backend integration.
• Experience working with enterprise applications, production support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimisation, responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and Agile development methodologies.
