Job Summary

The Full Stack Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications across both frontend and backend systems. This role involves building responsive user interfaces and robust backend services, ensuring high performance, reliability, and seamless integration between systems. You will work with modern technologies such as React.js, Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL to deliver high‑quality, user‑centric solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment, contributing to system design, development, testing, and deployment. You will play a key role in driving code quality, implementing best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable frontend applications using React.js and Next.js

• Build responsive, user‑friendly interfaces with reusable components and modern UI/UX practices

• Optimise frontend performance using state management tools such as Hooks, Context API, and Zustand

• Develop backend logic and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js

• Design and implement scalable systems using microservices architecture

• Optimise backend performance through caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and fault‑tolerant design patterns

• Design and manage database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL

• Ensure code quality through version control (Git), code reviews, and testing (unit, integration, contract)

• Support deployment, monitoring, and system operations, including CI/CD pipelines and observability tools

• Participate in system testing, deployment, and post‑deployment stabilisation activities
  

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma (ITE/Polytechnic in IT or related discipline), or equivalent qualification

• Completion of training in Full Stack Web Development is an advantage

• Hands‑on experience with Node.js, Express.js, ORMs, and relational databases (PostgreSQL)

• Strong experience in React.js, including Hooks, functional components, and component lifecycle

• Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript and working experience with TypeScript

• Experience developing SPA/SSR applications using modern frameworks (React / Next.js)

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage tasks independently

• Collaborative team player with good communication skills

• Able to work in a fast‑paced, agile environment

• Willing to support business needs such as overtime or travel where required
