Job Description - General Manager, Business Operations

The General Manager, Business Operations is responsible for managing and improving the business operations in PISCAP, taking charge of all internal business operations, overseeing employee activities and engagement with HR, and ensuring the department is on track to meet its financial goals.

He/She is also responsible for the department’s contracts and managing compliance and efficiency. He/She also takes on special projects and coordinates their completion.

Responsibilities

· Formulate business strategy with others in the executive team.

· Design policies that align with overall strategy.

· Implement efficient processes and standards.

· Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention.

· Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g. data protection).

· Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization.

· Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders.

· Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts.

· Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits.

· Creates and manages budget projections, analyzing revenue and expenditures and other funds. Oversees the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities.

· Collaborates with staff and other administrative units to identify opportunities and develop solutions to problems and issues.

· Frequently handles sensitive and/or confidential issues.

· Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement.

· Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.

· Any other tasks as and when required.

Requirements and skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance/IT

· Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director or similar leadership role

· At least 5-10 years of related experience in working in similar area.

· Knowledge of project development and management

· Good understanding of IT business/finance

· Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, supply chain and IT.

· Experience with implementing IT systems.

· Knowledge of data analytics and reporting

· Good with numbers and planning

· Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

· Excellent organizational and leadership ability

· Analytical mind
