GIS Developer

Role Overview

As a GIS Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain GIS applications and tools that support geospatial data management, analysis, and visualization. Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders, you will translate business and geospatial requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications using:Esri ArcGIS EnterpriseArcGIS ProArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScriptPython.NET SDKReact.js
• Implement geospatial capabilities such as spatial analysis, geocoding, routing, and interactive mapping within enterprise applications.

Integration & Customization

• Integrate GIS functionality with existing enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
• Customize GIS tools, workflows, and applications to meet client-specific business requirements.

Data Management

• Manage geospatial data acquisition, processing, validation, and quality assurance.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with organizational and industry data standards.
• Support the design and maintenance of geodatabases and spatial data models.

Technical Support & Collaboration

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance the performance of GIS applications and services.
• Provide technical support for GIS-related issues and deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, project managers, and clients, to deliver successful solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency with the Esri ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
• Hands-on programming experience with Python, JavaScript, and .NET technologies.
• Experience with ArcPy, FME, and DevOps practices for GIS application deployment and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of:Spatial data modelsGeodatabasesGIS architecture and integration with external systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience deploying and managing GIS solutions in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience working on enterprise-scale geospatial solutions is an advantage.
