ICT Procurement Specialist (Government)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to support and manage procurement activities for IT systems, services, and digital solutions. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient sourcing, contracting, and vendor management to support organisational technology needs and digital transformation initiatives.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver procurement outcomes that are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. The role also involves improving procurement processes and supporting stakeholders across different departments.

• Salary Package: Up to $8,800 (basic) + AWS

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute procurement activities for ICT systems, goods, and services
• Prepare procurement documentation and ensure timely delivery of tender and sourcing activities

Tender & Contract Management

• Develop, review, and manage tender documents, contracts, and specifications
• Evaluate supplier proposals, conduct clarifications, and support negotiations
• Oversee contract administration and vendor performance management

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver procurement solutions
• Provide advisory support on procurement processes and best practices
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communications effectively

Policy & Compliance

• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks
• Identify and mitigate procurement and contractual risks

Process Improvement & Innovation

• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and workflows
• Support initiatives to enhance efficiency, user experience, and procurement governance

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts
• Prepare reports and updates on procurement progress and outcomes

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in procurement, ICT sourcing, or IT contract management
• At least 2 years of experience in a project or team leadership role preferred
• Experience with cloud, SaaS, or Agile project environments is an advantage
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract management
• Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., e-procurement platforms) is preferred
• Good knowledge of legal and contractual principles related to procurement is an advantage
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lead or coordinate teams across functions or departments
