Infrastructure Architect

The Infrastructure Architect will work closely with platform and engineering teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, supporting delivery governance, and identifying risks that may impact platform stability and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions that enable scalability, automation, and improved user experience.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational models.
• Provide technical guidance on transitioning from monolithic architectures to cloud and Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Support implementation and operations of compute platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Identify potential risks, anticipate issues, and define mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, secure, and efficient platform delivery.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of IT industry experience.
• Singapore Citizens only.
• At least 5 years of strong experience in monolith infrastructure environments including UNIX/Linux, Windows, virtualization, networking, firewalls, load balancers, and server systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud and container technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Prometheus, and Splunk.
• Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS certificates, OAuth, authentication, and authorization concepts.
• Ability to develop automation utilities using Java, Python, Perl, and/or Bash scripting.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with teams, stakeholders, and clients.
• Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to application servers such as WebSphere.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience working in Singapore Public Sector environments or Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) implementations.
