IoT Engineer

Here are the Job Scope and Skills required for the IoT Contract Staff:

Scope and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support deployed sensors, edge devices and industrial communication networks.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot end-to-end data flow issues from sensor to cloud dashboard.
• Execute firmware, software, and security updates on edge devices and servers.
• Support onboarding of new machines, equipment, and facilities into the IoT platform.
• Investigate and resolve incidents related to connectivity, data quality, system performance, and device failures.
• Maintain technical documentation, asset inventories, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Work with maintenance, engineering, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure system reliability and scalability.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, and MQTT.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Understanding of industrial networking, cybersecurity, and remote device management.
• Experience with PTC Kepware and/or ThingWorx is a bonus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
