Job Description - IT Administrator (Data Centre Operations)
Employment Type: 1-Year Renewable Contract (High chance of renewal) Location: Newton MRT Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30 AM – 6.00 PM (Onsite) Salary: Up to $3,200/month + AWS
We are looking for an IT Administrator to support day-to-day IT administrative and operational activities within a data centre environment. This role is ideal for candidates with a Higher Nitec in IT who are looking to build their career in IT infrastructure and operations. You will work closely with infrastructure engineers, service desk teams, vendors, and business users to ensure smooth IT service delivery, asset management, and user administration.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor incident queues and assign tickets to the appropriate IT engineers.
Log and track IT incidents through the service desk, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
Raise, monitor, and coordinate Service Requests (SRs) with internal teams and vendors.
Liaise with users and backend support teams to gather information required for service fulfilment.
Support user onboarding and offboarding activities by coordinating with HR, infrastructure, network, desktop, and asset management teams.
Raise necessary service requests for user account creation, access provisioning, and deprovisioning.
Maintain and update IT asset inventory and ensure accurate asset records within the Asset Management System.
Track IT equipment lifecycle, including deployment, transfers, returns, and vendor deliveries.
Coordinate periodic asset verification exercises with asset owners and stakeholders.
Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly operational reports, including service request utilisation, manpower utilisation, and IT service subscriptions.
Support Tech Refresh activities by coordinating laptop deployments, scheduling user appointments, maintaining issuance records, and preparing progress reports.
Ensure administrative documentation is accurate, up to date, and complies with organisational processes.
Requirements
Higher Nitec or Nitec in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in IT administration, service desk, IT support, or infrastructure operations.
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, user account administration, and IT asset management.
Familiarity with ticketing or IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is an advantage.
