Role Overview

The IT Project Assistant (Junior) will support application projects and system implementation initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in application support, basic SDLC understanding, and exposure to business analysis and system integration. A basic development background (front-end or scripting) or DevOps/Linux server exposure on any cloud platform is an advantage, but not mandatory. Where technical experience is limited, stronger skills in business analysis, requirements gathering, UAT, and system integration will be emphasized.

You will work closely with business users, vendors, and internal IT teams to support project delivery, coordinate UAT, and assist in resolving system issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination & Support
• Assist Project Manager / IT Lead in planning and tracking project activities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items with stakeholders and vendors.
• Support documentation of project status, risks, and issues.
• Business Analysis & Requirements
• Work with business users to gather and document business and functional requirements.
• Support process analysis and mapping of current vs. future-state workflows.
• Assist in preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRD), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• SDLC & System Implementation
• Participate in activities across the SDLC, including requirements, design discussions, testing, deployment preparation, and post-implementation support.
• Support system integration efforts by coordinating with vendors and internal teams, ensuring data and process flow across systems.
• Assist in preparing configuration documents, change requests, and deployment checklists.
• Testing & UAT Coordination
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test case preparation, and user scheduling.
• Support execution of test cases, logging of defects, and tracking of defect resolution with vendors and internal teams.
• Assist in ensuring systems meet business requirements before go-live.
• Application Support & Issue Resolution
• Serve as a liaison between business users and IT/vendors to log, track, and resolve system issues.
• Analyze user issues, perform initial troubleshooting, and provide workarounds or escalate to relevant teams.
• Contribute to knowledge base / FAQ documentation for recurring issues and user guides.
• Data Analysis & Reporting
• Support data extraction and analysis using Excel and basic SQL/Python (Pandas) where applicable.
• Assist in preparing operational and project-related reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Analyze system usage, incident trends, or process data to identify opportunities for improvement.
