Job Description - IT Business Analyst (Min 3 years of experience required)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the analysis, validation, and delivery of digital solutions. This role is primarily execution-focused, requiring close collaboration with stakeholders, product teams, designers, developers, testers, and operations teams to understand business needs, define requirements, improve processes, and ensure successful solution delivery. The ideal candidate is analytical, user-focused, and able to challenge assumptions to identify practical and effective improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Gather, analyse, and validate business and system requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, and research.
Identify underlying business problems and translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
Maintain accurate and traceable requirements, documentation, and decision logs.
Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
Process Analysis & Improvement
Analyse current-state processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Recommend practical enhancements to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
Develop process maps, journey maps, and other visual artefacts to communicate insights and recommendations.
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyse data, user feedback, and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
Support decision-making through structured analysis, reporting, and data visualisation.
Utilise tools such as SQL, Excel, and visualisation platforms where required.
Solution Design & Validation
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to support solution design and validation.
Participate in workshops, ideation sessions, prototyping, and user-centred design activities.
Promote evidence-based decision-making through testing and rapid validation.
Testing & Delivery Support
Support testing activities, including UAT preparation, test case creation, defect management, and solution validation.
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure requirements are met.
Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and delivery tracking.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Act as a bridge between business, product, and technology teams.
Facilitate workshops, discussions, and requirement-gathering sessions.
Communicate requirements, dependencies, risks, and decisions clearly across stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve processes, delivery practices, and team effectiveness.
Contribute ideas, experiments, and best practices that enhance collaboration, problem-solving, and delivery outcomes.

Requirements
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Relevant professional experience in Business Analysis, Operations, Agile delivery, or related disciplines may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Delivery, Operations, Digital Transformation, or related roles.
Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, user-centred analysis, business process modelling, and requirements management.
Proven ability to gather, document, validate, and translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder discussions, and design thinking sessions.
Familiarity with ideation, prototyping, user research, and service journey mapping techniques.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise user insights, stakeholder feedback, and data into actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication, presentation, visualisation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficiency in documentation and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, SQL, and data visualisation platforms.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated adaptability, curiosity, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant domain expertise and industry knowledge will be an advantage.
