IT Data, Cloud and Architect Manager

Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands. Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which Singapore plays a critical role. We have taken over this market from our distributors, so that we can run them directly and drive strong growth, behind innovation and investments.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced IT Data, Cloud and Architect Manager to lead our IT architecture and data engineering initiatives in the cloud environment reporting to the APAC Head of IT. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, data systems, and IT architectures to support our business operations and strategic objectives.

This role will be based in Singapore.

Here are some of the exciting things you will get to do:

• Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms to support data-driven decision-making, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Understands data residency, transfer laws across APAC and effective management of personal identification data (PII) in developing technical solutions.
• Ability to integrate data warehouse with reporting platforms (e.g.: Tableau, Power BI) and build self service capabilities for business users to generate standard and ad hoc reports.
• Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, networking, and security, to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Define and maintain the overall IT architecture strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals and objectives, taking into account emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, software development, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, assess technology options, and propose architectural solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, data engineering, and architecture to drive innovation and continuous improvement, conducting proofs of concept and feasibility studies as needed.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, and conducting regular performance evaluations and skill development initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to communicate architecture decisions, risks, and trade-offs effectively, and participate in executive-level discussions to provide insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, data engineering, and IT architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure IT solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and technologies, with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java, with experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines, and working knowledge of database concepts and technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience in managing and mentoring technical teams, and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience in the consumer goods or retail industry, with knowledge of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
• Familiarity with IoT, big data, and analytics technologies, and experience in implementing advanced analytics solutions such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.
