IT Deployment Engineer

Job Description

• Assist in IT infrastructure and cloud deployment projects, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, backup solutions and cloud security solutions.
• Provide L1/L2 technical support for incidents, service requests and basic troubleshooting.
• Support senior engineers in project implementation, system configuration, testing, documentation and post-deployment support.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, endpoint devices, backup, virtualization and basic network connectivity.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers, vendors or principals when required.
• Follow up on assigned cases and ensure issues are tracked until closure.
• Work closely with customers, internal teams and vendors to provide timely updates on incident status and follow-up actions.
• Assist in maintaining technical documentation, deployment records and knowledge base articles.
• Support customer sites when required for deployment, troubleshooting or maintenance activities.
• Continuously learn new technologies and work towards achieving assigned technical certifications.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure support, system deployment or related roles.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Office 365, Azure, Intune, backup solutions and Microsoft Defender will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server, Exchange, Hyper-V, VMware or endpoint management.
• Good to have basic knowledge of networking, firewall, routing, switching and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Good troubleshooting mindset and willingness to learn from senior engineers.
• Able to work in an IT service provider or project-based environment.
• Good communication skills and service mindset when dealing with customers.
• Responsible, willing to take ownership of assigned tasks and able to follow through until completion.
• Willing to work towards relevant technical certifications as required by the company.
