IT Engineer

Job Description

• Act as the first point of contact for local system and application issues; perform initial analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

• Escalate unresolved issues to the Taiwan IT team and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain local reporting systems based on business and operational requirements.

• Gather, clarify, and confirm system and reporting requirements from local users.

• Perform basic system testing and validation to ensure solution quality before release.

• Assist in preparing simple system documentation or user guidance when required.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in system development, application support, or related roles.

• Possess a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or related disciplines.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese to support communication with Taiwan and regional stakeholders.

Skillsets Required

• Server and website administration and maintenance.

• IT infrastructure and equipment environment setup.

• Installation and maintenance of network security systems.

• Network system configuration.

• Computer hardware maintenance.

• Basic operating system operations.

• Network equipment installation and configuration.

• Firewall planning and management (Added advantage)

• System architecture planning and maintenance (Added advantage)

Other Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in computer hardware and network maintenance.

• Ability to plan IT and network infrastructure and troubleshoot network issues.

• Familiar with operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux/Unix. (Experience in Linux/Unix is preferred)

• Familiar with TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and IP Address management.
