IT Executive

Metta Welfare Association (Metta) was founded in 1992 by Venerable Chao Khun Fa Zhao BBM. He is also the President of Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple and Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. Registered as a society in 1994, Metta is presently endorsed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE). We are also members of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), Singapore Hospice Council and Singapore Disability Sports Council. As a recognition of our efforts in pursuing Business Excellence, we have been awarded the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) with People certification in October 2018.

Metta was also awarded the Charity Transparency Awards (CTA) in 2019. The Award recognises charities with good disclosure practices that the Charity Transparency Framework (CTF) recommends to encourage charities to be more transparent and to recognise them for their disclosure efforts.

As an IT Executive , the candidate is responsible in the following areas:

• Manage and maintain the overall IT infrastructure of the organization, including network connectivity, hardware, software and other related systems.
• Ensure all systems are secure and operational.
• Respond to IT-related issues and requests.
• Maintain records of IT hardware, software, inventory, service, and IT-related contracts and documentation
• Research and develop new systems and technology solutions to improve operations.
• Establish best practices for IT security e.g. vulnerability assessment, user training etc
• Coordinate and/or lead ad hoc projects, as requested by Reporting Officer
• IT administration (documentations, records and policies)

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Information/computer technology or related disciplines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies that includes but not limited to Windows Operating System, Micrsooft365 (Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive). Experience with other mainstream software systems (e.g. iOS, Mac OSX, Android)
• Ability to work collaboratively across groups and levels and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies
• Able to perform duties after hours when necessary
• Able to converse both in English & respective mother tongue
