IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist to manage and maintain our IT environment, ensuring stability, security, and compliance with best practices. This role will cover network and system operations, endpoint governance, identity security, monitoring, and broader IT support functions to keep our systems resilient and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network, Telecom & Infrastructure Management

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and corporate telephony systems.
• Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, IP addressing, routing, NAT, and secure network segmentation.
• Maintain firewall rules, threat protection, IPS/IDS, and secure remote access.
• Monitor network and telecom performance, availability, and capacity.

2. Systems & Platform Administration

• Administer Windows Server and Linux systems across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Manage directory services, DNS, DHCP, and domain services, including hybrid identity integrations.
• Support cloud compute and storage services, including provisioning, security hardening, patching, and performance optimisation.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions across hybrid environments.

3. Endpoint, Identity & Access Governance

• Manage endpoint and device governance using Azure AD Join / Hybrid AD Join and Microsoft Intune.
• Enforce security baselines, compliance policies, patching, and device lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain identity and access controls, including MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, and privileged access across on-prem and cloud environment.

4. Security Monitoring, Incident Response & Compliance

• Monitor EDR and SIEM platforms for threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalous activities.
• Maintain security dashboards, alerts, logging, and continuous monitoring controls.
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Support compliance with security best practices and regulatory expectations.

5. DevOps, Automation & IT Operations

• Apply DevOps and infrastructure automation practices using scripting and configuration management tools (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Terraform or equivalent).
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure integration between infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.
• Provide Level 2/3 IT support for infrastructure, network, endpoint, and identity-related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation for architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.5. DevOps, Automation & IT Operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 - 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking, including routing, switching, VLANs, firewall management, and network segmentation.
• Proven experience in Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and SharePoint.
• Experience with DevOps, infrastructure automation, and scripting.
• Familiarity with EDR solutions and SIEM platforms.
• Solid understanding of identity and access security (MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC).
• Good understanding of modern cyber threats, including DDoS, malware, MITM, XSS, SQL injection, supply chain attacks, credential theft, and social engineering.
• Knowledge of MAS TRM guidelines is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a lean and fast-paced environment.
