IT Manufacturing Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and continuously improve assigned Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and components.
• Provide 24/7 Level 1 and Level 2 support to ensure the smooth operation of production lines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimise production downtime.
• Work closely with other IT teams to improve system response time and maximise system availability.
• Gather user requirements to design, develop and deploy enhancements for Shop Floor Automation applications, particularly Equipment Manager automation solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and coordinate application enhancements within the assigned area.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct user training for assigned applications.
• Collaborate with other departments on productivity improvements, cost reduction, error reduction and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or a Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Equipment Manager automation solutions.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Shop Floor Automation (SFA), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES),Equipment Automation, or factory automation applications within a semiconductor, manufacturing or other high-tech production environment.
• Proficient in SQL (Oracle preferred).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with MES, Shop Floor Automation(SFA), Equipment Automation, SECS/GEM, TIBCO (TIB/RV), ZNT PAC development, fab automation projects, or Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) applications such as SPC, RMS and MES will be an advantage.
