IT Operations Manager (1-year renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support IT infrastructure and operational services, including end-user computing environments.
• Govern and oversee infrastructure services delivered by outsourcing partners and managed service providers, including vendor management, contract administration, and billing matters.
• Lead or participate in infrastructure-related projects such as technology refresh initiatives, system upgrades, cloud migrations, and implementation of new infrastructure capabilities.
• Perform day-to-day IT operations activities, including incident management, service request fulfilment, change management, and application support.
• Coordinate and drive IT Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, recovery strategies, and execution with relevant stakeholders.
• Support IT audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and compliance requirements.
• Ensure infrastructure solutions and service delivery comply with internal policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and document IT operational procedures, standards, and knowledge base materials.
• Manage system and network patching, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimisation activities.
• Assess infrastructure performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, availability, and efficiency.
• Ensure data handling, transfer, and processing activities comply with established governance, security, and company guidelines.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure and IT Operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure Cloud, End User Computing, Active Directory, Virtualisation, Networking, Backup & Recovery, and Security technologies.
• Experience working within Banking, Insurance, or other Financial Services environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Technology Risk Management (TRM) frameworks and regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Professional certifications in Microsoft technologies, Azure Cloud, Networking, Security, or related disciplines are advantageous.
• Good understanding and practical experience with ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.
• Exposure to infrastructure project delivery, technology upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging internal users, business stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
