IT Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the 1st and 2nd level support of Hardware and Software related calls to the operational users
• Attend IT support calls from users and log each call individually with detail description
• Monitor and report on the operational IT problems and carries out tests on software implementations, updates software patches and installs anti-virus systems to protect the systems
• Train end users on the correct usage of IT systems and provide first line user support services before referring to vendor support, if required
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive recording of Incidents in order to identify efficiently the cause of the incidents and trends. Evaluate Problem Management closely with the resources availability to identify these trends and instigate remedial action
• Responsible for IT onboarding and off boarding new staff and devices
• Assist in ensuring all IT SOP, policies and documentation are adhere accordingly to guidelines
• In charge of procurement of IT related equipment

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years working experience in IT support/Helpdesk/Network/System
• Strong technical knowledge of hardware and software
• Proven track record in IT Infrastructure set up
• Service-oriented with a positive attitude
• Solid technical knowledge of application infrastructure technology
• Ability to work under pressure and strong time management
