IT Support Engineer

Brief Description & Role

This position will support the day-to-day needs of the IT operations including system application/device support, monitoring and network infrastructure maintenance and management.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for procurement and management of company IT assets.
2. Source, planning, evaluating, and deploying of new cloud-based IT systems.
3. Provide administration, support, monitoring, enhancing, and maintenance of both on-premises and cloud-based network systems.
4. Participate in monitoring, enhancing and maintenance of all endpoint and network security solutions.
5. Provide timely and good IT support for internal users.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies such as copyright, cybersecurity, licensing and IPR policies.

Requirements

· The candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology or equivalent.

· At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

· Meticulous, independent and able to multi-task with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

· Good written, communication and interpersonal skills.

· Good team player and passionate to learn

Skills, Experiences & Knowledge

· Good understanding of cloud and cloud-based services and applications

· Good knowledge and working experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure services and applications.

· Good understanding of cybersecurity, information protection and related practices.

· Good knowledge of computer hardware, networking systems (e.g. Firewalls, VPN etc.) and IP-based protocols (e.g. TCP, UDP, FTP, SSH, Telnet etc.)

· Some working experience with any of the programing/scripting languages such as C#, PowerShell, SQL, Python, PHP etc.
