IT Support Engineer (Contract / Government Sector)

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our technology team. You will be responsible for providing L2/L3 application support, ensuring stability, availability, and performance of business-critical systems and applications.

• Working Hours: Mon-Fri
• Working Location: Central
• Salary Package: Up to $8,000(basic) + AWS
• Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application support for production and non-production environments.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, infrastructure, and security incidents within agreed service levels.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimise recurring issues.
• Manage incident ,problem, and change management activities following ITSM best practices.
• Support system deployments, releases, and operational readiness activities.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and support runbooks.
• Analyse operational metrics and prepare regular reports on system health, service performance, and improvement initiatives.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
•  Participate in on-call support or after-hours maintenance activities when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across applications and infrastructure.
• Experience with ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• ITIL Foundation or related certifications.
