Job Description & Requirements

Role Overview

ASMis seeking a Technical Kinaxis RapidResponse Consultant to support andenhance our enterprise supply‑chain planning platform. This role focuses on technicalconfiguration, data modeling, performance optimization, and integrationswithin Kinaxis RapidResponse, supporting ASM’s high‑complexity, high‑precisionmanufacturing environment.

Youwill work closely with Global IT, Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, andEngineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and performant planningsolutions.

Key Responsibilities

Kinaxis Technical Configuration & Modeling

• Design, configure, and maintain Kinaxis RapidResponse data models, including:

o Items, Locations, BOMs, Resources, Calendars

• Develop and optimize measures, expressions, and planning logic

• Design and configure:

o Exception logic & alerts

o Scenario planning and comparisons

o Time phased planning views

• Ensure model performance, scalability, and maintainability

Integration & Data Management

• Support and enhance integrations between Kinaxis and upstream/downstream systems, including:

o SAP S4HANA

o Manufacturing and master data systems

• Work with IT integration teams on:

o Data mappings and transformations

o Full vs delta data loads

o Data refresh cycles and latency management

• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis of data issues

Workspace & Visualization Design

• Design and configure technical workspaces, dashboards, and tables for:

o Supply planners

o Capacity planners

o Management and executive users

• Ensure workspaces are:

o Performance optimized

o Exception driven

o Easy to troubleshoot and explain

Testing, Deployment & Support

• Support:

o Unit testing

o System Integration Testing (SIT)

o User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Troubleshoot complex planning, data, and performance issues

• Support cutover, go live, and hypercare activities

• Provide ongoing system support and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience

Supply Chain Knowledge (Required)

• Solid understanding of:

o Supply planning

o Capacity & constraint based planning

o Inventory planning

• Ability to translate business planning logic into technical Kinaxis configuration

Demand Planning & Forecasting (Technical Focus)

• Configure and maintain demand data models in Kinaxis RapidResponse, including:

o Independent vs dependent demand

o Forecast vs actual demand measures

o Customer, product, and location hierarchies

• Design and maintain forecast measures, including:

o Statistical forecast inputs

o Adjusted / consensus forecast

o Forecast versioning and scenario comparisons

• Implement forecast consumption logic, aligning forecast with orders across time buckets

• Configure time phase logic (historical, near term, mid term, long term forecasting horizons)

• Build and optimize forecast accuracy and bias measures (e.g., MAPE style logic, variances)

• Design demand related exception logic, such as:

o Forecast variance thresholds

o Demand spikes and drops

o Late or missing demand signals

• Support what if simulation for demand changes and assess downstream supply and capacity impacts

Supply Planning & Constraints (Technical Focus)

• Configure supply planning measures supporting:

o Planned supply

o On hand and in transit inventory

o Supply response to demand changes

• Implement and optimize constraint based logic for:

o Capacity

o Material availability

o Lead time feasibility

• Design logic for:

o Supply prioritization and allocation

o Pegging demand to supply

o Shortage identification and root cause analysis

• Configure time phased supply views supporting planner decision making

• Design and tune supply exceptions, such as:

o Uncovered demand

o Late supply

o Capacity overloads

• Support supply what if scenarios (alternate sourcing, expediting, inventory burn down)

Performance & Calculation Optimization for Demand/Supply (Technical Focus)

• Optimize calculation dependencies between demand, supply, and inventory measures

• Identify and resolve:

o Circular dependencies

o Overly granular calculations affecting performance

• Tune expressions for:

o Large time horizons

o High volume item/location combinations

• Ensure demand and supply logic scales across:

o Multi site

o Multi product

o Global planning models

IT & System Integration

• Experience working with SAP data (PP, MM, APO, or IBP preferred)

• Understanding of:

o ERP master data structures

o Planning vs execution data

o Data governance and quality controls

• Ability to work effectively with IT integration and infrastructure teams

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience in semiconductor or high tech manufacturing

• Kinaxis RapidResponse Certification

• SAP APO / IBP / PP background

• Experience supporting global or multi site planning models

• Exposure to other planning tools (APO, IBP, O9, Blue Yonder)
