Key Responsibilities
Provide L2 support for LAN, WAN, firewall, VPN, and connectivity issues
Troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, and network security incidents
Handle escalations from NOC and escalate complex issues to L3 or vendors
Perform approved configuration changes on routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN devices
Support VLAN, routing, ACL, NAT, firewall policy, and VPN changes
Monitor network devices using tools such as NetGain
Respond to alerts related to availability, utilization, latency, packet loss, CPU, memory, and link status
Assist with SNMP, Syslog, and device onboarding into monitoring platforms
Support planned maintenance, migrations, cutovers, and post-change validation
Maintain network documentation, incident notes, change records, and handover documents
Technical Requirements
Good understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, STP, routing, and switching
Basic to intermediate knowledge of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN, and IPsec VPN
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Aruba, HPE, or similar
Experience with firewall policies, NAT, VPN troubleshooting, and log review
Familiarity with SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and NMS tools
Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Azure, or AWS is an advantage
Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus
Experience & Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field
3–5 years of network engineering or network operations experience
Experience in managed services, NOC, or enterprise support environments preferred
