About the opportunity

A fast-growing digital gaming platform is looking for a senior engineer to lead the web platform layer across its HTML5 game portfolio.

This is not a pure gameplay role. The focus is on reusable SDKs, frontend frameworks, build tooling, runtime architecture and developer experience.

The role

You will own the platform architecture that helps multiple game teams build, release and maintain games more efficiently.

Key responsibilities

Build and maintain reusable TypeScript / JavaScript SDKs and frontend frameworks.

Own web runtime architecture, plugin systems and platform-level standards.

Improve build and release tooling across Rollup, Webpack, Vite or similar tools.

Set standards for performance, bundle size, caching and mobile web stability.

Create documentation, templates and tools to improve developer productivity.

Work closely with game, product and compliance teams to reduce repeated work across projects.

Requirements

Strong TypeScript, JavaScript and Node.js experience.

Experience building SDKs, frameworks, internal platforms or tooling used by multiple teams.

Strong knowledge of frontend build tools such as Rollup, Webpack or Vite.

Experience with monorepos, npm packages, CI/CD and release processes.

Good understanding of modular architecture, performance optimisation and mobile web runtimes.

Experience with HTML5 games, Cocos Creator, Phaser, PixiJS or WebGL would be useful.
